This month Amy &I I picked books on the opposite ends of the spectrum as we often do.
Amy's pick: The Last Murder At The End Of The World by Stuart Turton:
"a post-apocalyptic murder mystery where a scientist is murders on an isolated island, the last refuge for humanity against a deadly fog. The islands security system wipes everyone's memory of the crime, forcing the inhabitants to solve the murder within a tight deadline to prevent the fog from engulfing them and ending the world."
Murder, deadly fog and the end of the world?!? Sounds INTENSE and binge-worthy.
Brandi's pick is Theo of Golden by Allen Levi:
"A mysterious, kind, elderly man named Theo who arrives in the fictional southern town of Golden, Georgia, and anonymously performs acts of generosity, primarily by buying portraits from a local coffeehouse and returning them to their subjects, sparking stories and connections."
Learning strangers stories, connecting with people and kindness. Some of the core traits of humanity.
We can't wait to hear what you thought of this months picks. See you at Spark Saturday!
All the god vibes,
Brandi & Amy
